• EMI has this week serviced the brand new Gorillaz single 'On Melancholy Hill' (pictured) to Aussie radio. It's the second official single to be lifted from the latest Gorillaz LP 'Plastic Beach'.• Also at radio this week are Jack Johnson's new single 'At Or With Me', Hot Chip's 'Hand Me Down Your Love' and the Aggro Santos single featuring Pussycat Doll Kimberly Wyatt - 'Candy'.
• Universal Music has announced the local release of Robert Plant's new album 'Band Of Joy'. The album, the singer's first since 2007's 'Raising Sand' is set to be a "timeless plunge into authentic Americana" and fans will be able to snap it up when it's released locally on Friday September 10.
• Vanessa Amorosi looks like she's making waves in the UK, showcasing four tracks from her album 'Hazardous' to UK media late last week. And from all accounts, they were mighty impressed. Vanessa has just re-shot the video for her single 'This Is Who I Am' for the UK market.
• The girls from Aussie duo Scarlett Belle have released a new acoustic video to Youtube - and it's impressive. It's a cover version of the Alicia Keys hit 'Empire State Of Mind' and features not only some pretty decent vocals, but some sublime harmonies. Click HERE to see it.
• Sia's album 'We Are Born' finally hits retail this weekend and the buzz surrounding its release has been further enhanced by the team at Triple J who've made it their feature album of the week this week. • US pop artist Levi Kreis has been honoured for his other career - picking up a prestigious Tony Award for Best Featured Actor in a Musical for his role as Jerry Lee Lewis in Broadway's 'Million Dollar Quartet'.
• Dizzee Rascal's back at the top of the UK singles chart this week as part of 'Shout' with UK actor James Corden. Though Tinie Tempah had been predicted to bag another No.1, he had to settle for the No.2 position with his new single 'Frisky'. K'naan is up to No.3 and Usher's back inside the top ten.
• And on the UK album chart, Jack Johnson got the No.1 last week, but Christina Aguilera bags the booty this week with her brand new album 'Bionic'. Alicia Keys heads back to No.2 with 'The Element Of Freedom' and Pixie Lott's back in the top ten.
