• 'Tangier' was the album Billy Thorpe was busy completing when he sadly passed away in February 2007. With a little help from his friends (including tour promoter Michael Chugg and Sony's Denis Handlin), the album will finally get a release on October 22. It features a number of guest vocalists including Vanessa Amorosi, Sneaky Sound System's Connie Mitchell, country star Melinda Schneider and Ian Moss. The title track will be serviced to media on Monday.• The boys from hip hop outfit Hilltop Hoods will be downing a couple of glasses of the bubbly stuff this weekend, with news that their latest album 'State Of The Art' has reached double platinum status, selling more than 140,000 copies since its release last year.
• Bliss N Eso's album 'Running On Air' has gone gold, less than two weeks since its release. More than 35,000 copies of the album have now been shipped into stores throughout the country. Meantime the band has confirmed a tour of the US, kicking off later this month.
• One of our favourite discoveries of the year, Aeons, will hit the road with Brisbane outfit Misere from this Thursday for four shows as part of the 'Dark Light' tour. They'll play the Gold Coast, Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne with venue information available on Aeons' FACEBOOK PAGE. The boys are currently hard at work on a remix for fellow Sydneysiders Amy Meredith.
• Aussie independent record company Creative Vibes closed its doors after 15 successful years back in December 2008, a victim of the global financial crisis. But in a splash of good news, the label is back, under the guidance of Peter Pasqual and MGM founder Sebastian Chase. A new website will launch soon.• Liberation has revealed that The Holidays' debut album 'Post Paradise' is on the way. The Sydney outfit will also hit the road in September and October for a national tour, kicking off at the Coaster Festival in Gosford on Saturday September 25.
• The Brisbane heat in the Road To Tamworth was held last weekend, with 18 year old Palmwoods resident Kelsie Rimmer heading to Sydney to participate in a two day boot camp. Should she succeed there, she'll bag $1000 and be off to Tamworth in January where she'll take part in the Telstra Road to Tamworth Finals.
• The No.1 most played song in the country this week is by Uncle Kracker - his latest single 'Smile'. The highest place Aussie is Michael Paynter, with his new single 'Love The Fall' in at #12.
• On the US charts, Eminem and Rihanna once again hold off all comers on the singles chart with their track 'Love The Way You Lie'. But he'd better be watching his back, because Taio Cruz is on the march with 'Dynamite' and Taylor Swift debuting at No.3 with new single 'Mine'.
• And on the US album chart, Arcade Fire has debuted in the No.1 position with the album 'The Suburbs'. Bun B is in at No.4 while a belated (and slightly cheapskate) release of Lady Gaga's 'The Remix' debuts at No.6. Buckcherry rounds out the top 10 with a debut for their new LP 'All Night Long'.

When is the Potbeleez 'Hello' video going to premiere?
Hey Anonymous,
Strangely, there's no word of a 'Hello' video on the Universal Music release schedule.
Whether that means there won't be one...?

Hey Alex,
This was the logo that was sent through with the press release. Looks like it is, though - with the same logo placed on their forthcoming website here;
