BEC CARTWRIGHT : All Seats Taken
Three long years before she married Aussie tennis star Lleyton Hewitt and changed her surname, Bec Hewitt was known as Bec Cartwright - star of long-running soapie Home & Away. A fan favourite, it naturally followed that she possessed some level of musicality and a deal with Warner Music was struck.
Her debut single was 'All Seats Taken' - a track that essentially likened Bec's love to a crowded restaurant... i.e. "I'm all booked up for you". Corny yes, but didn't we lap it up back in 2002.
The clip features Bec and co hitting a roller skating rink for a fun time. Curiously, however, no-one in the vid ever dons a pair of rollerskates.
It hit the top ten, but two singles and an album later and the fairytale pop career of Bec Cartwright was over.
In the immortal words of Barbara from Bank World... "Shame."
