British manband Take That have confirmed the upcoming release of their brand new 'Progress Live' DVD, with its breathtaking official cover also revealed (left).

Wonderfully, the gang at Universal Music Australia will release the DVD and Blu Ray versions, but as reported here earlier this month, a live double CD is also on the schedule.

BIG DAY'S BIG ANNOUNCEMENT

They warned us that it was coming - and tonight the gang from the Big Day Out has indeed confirmed the first 17 acts who'll be taking to the stage as part of next year's festivals across the country.
On the bill for 2012 are acts including; Röyksopp, My Chemical Romance, Architecture In Helsinki, Boy & Bear, The Living End, Hilltop Hoods, Foster The People, The Jezabels, Girl Talk, Cage The Elephant, The Getaway Plan, Parkway Drive and many more.
Three big headliners are to be revealed during the breakfast show on Triple J tomorrow morning, with organisers promising an extra little surprise thrown in for good measure.
The 2012 Big Day Out is scheduled to kick off on Friday January 20.

NEW SATURDAYS PREMIERES

British girl group The Saturdays have just premiered their new single 'My Heart Takes Over' (pictured) over in the UK.
The track is the third from the band's forthcoming third album and follows on from their top ten UK singles 'Notorious' and 'All Fired Up'. The band is trekking off to Iceland this week to shoot the official video.
Yet despite all the love over in the UK, their music remains criminally unavailable here in Australia - except for their ace debut album 'Chasing Lights' and their recent single 'Notorious' - even though there seems to be an official Saturdays store.
To the peeps at their local label Universal Music... 'Please sir, can we have some more??'
Hear the track HERE.

WASHINGTON V WIGGLES

It's difficult to believe that those fun men in their coloured vests - The Wiggles - have been entertaining young audiences across Australia (and more recently the world) for 20 long years.
In celebration of their extraordinary longevity, the people at their long-time label ABC have put together an amazing tribute to the band, and it features some of the biggest names in Australian music taking on some of the band's biggest hits.
Wondrous Washington takes on 'The Monkey Dance', rock gods The Living End put their take on the classic 'Hot Potato', Sarah Blasko's wrapping her tonsils around 'I Love It When It Rains' and Architecture In Helsinki is gearing up for a 'Wiggly Party'.
Others to feature on the 21 track album include Angie Hart, Busby Marou, Clare Bowditch, Jebediah, Bluejuice, Oh Mercy and more (full tracklisting in the comments section below).
'Rewiggled : A Tribute To The Wiggles' will hit retailers on Friday November 04.

TOURING : Aloe Blacc

He's recently charmed the pants off us Aussies, with his debut single 'I Need A Dollar' hitting the top 20 down under. Sony Music is also set to release a deluxe CD/DVD edition of his album 'Good Things' late next month.
Now comes news from Frontier Touring that the American soul singer will hit our shores very early next year for a quartet of live shows to complement his Falls Festival appearances and the gig in Western Australia at the Southbound Festival.
He'll play dates in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Adelaide, kicking things off on New Years Day in Melbourne with a show at the Palace Theatre.

He'll perform dates in both Sydney and Melbourne, treating audiences to a selection of the hits that have made him famous across his 15 year recording career - including the 2000 No.1 US R&B hit 'Spend My Life With You' (featuring Tamia).
Tour organisers have warned, however, that capacity in both venues is extremely limited, so patrons are advised to get their tickets quickly before they sell out.

October 06 : Sydney (Home Nightclub)
October 08 : Melbourne (Colonial Hotel)

NEW KATY

As if her latest album 'Teenage Dream' wasn't successful enough thanks to the mammoth worldwide hits 'California Gurls', 'Teenage Dream', 'Firework', 'E.T.' and 'Last Friday Night (TGIF)', global superstar Katy Perry is back with the sixth single from it!
'The One That Got Away' was serviced to media in Australia a short time ago, aiming to continue the star's run of incredible success down under; every single from the current album has hit the top five down under and all are at least double platinum ('Firework' takes the cake at five times platinum - 350,000 copies).
How's this one gonna fare? Time will tell, but no doubt her peeps are hoping that the single replicates the success, particularly in the US, where she's tied with Michael Jackson for the most No.1 singles from the same album.

LIVING ROOM IS LIVE

It was the brainchild of Queensland woman Dee Dimmick and this week, she's seen her dreams realised as her 'The Living Room' goes live right in the heart of Sydney.
Dee essentially wanted a space where established and unknown artists could perform and she teamed up with legendary Aussie dance producer Paul Mac to see the concept come to life.
'The Living Room' was one of three winning concepts in American Express's 'Room For Thought' campaign, aimed at finding new and innovative ideas in the worlds of music, fashion and community.
'The Living Room' went live for the first time yesterday at 72 Erskine Street in the city and over three big levels (and ten hours), there were plenty of unsigned artists, workshops and headliner Sarah McLeod belting out a song or two.
Today's celebrations kick off at midday - and the best part is that even if you're not in Sydney, you can still be part of the magic by heading onto the American Express FACEBOOK page where you can stream it all live.
'The Living Room' is live today and tomorrow.

HEADING IN THE ONE DIRECTION

Something's definitely afoot in the Australian music industry of late. We don't quite know what's gone on, but there seems to be an ever so slight shift in focus towards pop that's coming out of the UK over the past few months. Sony's obviously serviced the new Leona Lewis single 'Collide' to Aussie radio (there's a digital bundle of that coming to Australia on Friday October 07).
Universal has had success with British boyband The Wanted and their single 'Glad You Came' - the track bulleting to the No.20 position on this week's ARIA singles chart.
Now it looks like it's Sony's turn to break a new boyband with a hint on their FACEBOOK page that their debut single 'What Makes You Beautiful' is about to get a digital release.
There are campaigns to get the boys here, plenty of interest from fans, trending topics on Twitter and much more.
Let's not give too much away, but a little birdy tells us that you might not have to wait much longer before you'll see some action on 'What Makes You Beautiful' here in Australia. Watch this space.

HAVANA BROWN : Get It

Australia's first lady of dance Havana Brown is back with the brand spanking new video for her brand spanking new single 'Get It'.
And from the millisecond she struts around the corner, you just know she's gonna look smoking hot. We're not disappointed.
There's an abundance of hot bodies, as Havana grinds her way through a myriad of industrial-looking set-ups, with some tight choreography and plenty of camera movements.
Havana also does her darndest to get very, very wet. It's all a little bit sexy and we think we might need a good lie down.

NEW DVD? YOU BETTE!

Bette Midler had a smashing time down under back in 2005 during what was her first visit to Australia in 25 years. The 'Kiss My Brass' tour was bold, brassy, funny and charming - and we distinctly remember coming out of the show bitterly disappointed - only because it was highly unlikely we'd ever get to see a better show in our lifetimes. Sadly, the show wasn't filmed and therefore was never released to DVD.
Three years after her local visit, Bette was ensconced on the Vegas circuit, playing to sold out audiences as part of her 'The Showgirl Must Go On' tour. More than 750,000 fans visited the icon during her two year reign at Caesar's Palace for which she earned a reported $100 million.
Thankfully this time around, she had the good sense to make sure those who wouldn't be able to make it to Vegas would have the chance to see the show in all its bawdy glory.
Warner Music will release 'The Showgirl Must Go On' DVD in Australia late next month. The DVD features 70 minutes of concert footage, filmed at The Colosseum at Caesar's Palace. Included are Bette's performances of classics 'The Rose', 'Wind Beneath My Wings' and 'From A Distance'. She'll also be mermaiding it up a bit.
'The Showgirl Must Go On' is released on DVD on Friday October 28.

REM RETROSPECTIVE

Just days after the band announced that they were bringing the curtain down on their extraordinary 31 year career, R.E.M's label Warner Music has revealed that they'll be releasing a comprehensive 40 track best-of compilation from the much loved US supergroup.
Entitled 'R.E.M., Part Lies, Part Heart, Part Truth, Part Garbage, 1982 – 2011', the compile not only includes all the band's hits (including 'What’s The Frequency, Kenneth? ', 'Man On The Moon', 'It’s The End Of The World As We Know It (And I Feel Fine)', 'Losing My Religion', 'Orange Crush' and 'Shiny Happy People'), but it will also feature three brand new recordings, one of which - 'We All Go Back To Where We Belong' - will be released digitally on October 18.
The other new tracks are 'A Month Of Saturdays' and 'Hallelujah', which were completed after their most recent album 'Collapse Into Now'.
'R.E.M., Part Lies, Part Heart, Part Truth, Part Garbage, 1982 – 2011' will be released in Australia on Friday November 18.
Tracklisting in the comments section below.

A VERY BUBLE CHRISTMAS

What's in the box, Michael?? The festive season comes early this year, with Canadian crooner Michael Buble releasing his much anticipated Christmas album next month.
Warner Music has this afternoon confirmed the charismatic star's new release, also revealing its tracklisting, which includes a duet with country superstar Shania Twain, along with others alongside the Puppini Sisters and Thalia.
There's plenty to get one's festive spirits high too, with standard fun Christmas fare including 'It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas', 'Jingle Bells', 'White Christmas', 'Silent Night' and 'Santa Baby'.
Michael has also written an original song for the album - entitled 'Cold December Night'.
'Christmas' will be released in Australia on Friday October 21.

PANIC! AT THE LIVE LOUNGE

It was US outfit Panic! At The Disco's turn to hit Take 40's Live Lounge last night (albeit in duo form), treating the exclusive crowd to intimate, acoustic version of songs from their latest album 'Vices & Virtues' along with tracks from throughout their career, including the Australian hits 'I Write Sins Not Tragedies' and 'Nine In The Afternoon'.
Panic's was the fourth in a five gig series at the Live Lounge for 2011; they were preceded by Washington, Little Red and Jessie J this year - and another concert is forthcoming.
For those who weren't fortunate enough to be in last night's audience, however, take heart - you can catch it over at www.take40.com as we speak, or tune your TV to GO! Channel on Sunday October 09 from 1:00pm or on MTV on Tuesday October 18 at 9:30pm.

X GOES VIRAL

Despite it's impressive ratings, the Australian version of the global hit 'The X Factor' continues to serve up mostly dull, ordinary and uninteresting performances (save perhaps for Young Men Society and Audio Vixen).
It's only when you start looking at some of the acts from the international series (now screening in both the UK and the US) that you come to realise just how badly our version pales in comparison.
Over in the UK, contestant Jade Richards from Fife left judges Kelly Rowland and Louis Walsh in tears after her audition, performing a powerfully raw rendition of Adele's 'Someone Like You' (HERE).
One of our favourites from the UK competition is Misha Bryan who this week stormed through the Bootcamp audition boldly performing Destiny's Child's 'Survivor' in front of Destiny's Child's Kelly (HERE). We think she's ready to launch a career already.
In the US, meantime, 18 year old Melanie Amaro from Florida had all four judges on their feet with her powerhouse, goose bump-inducing rendition of Beyonce's 'Listen', bringing judge Nicole Scherzinger to tears, moving Paula Abdul (is that a new face?) and prompting Simon Cowell to declare "When I was asked by a lot of people why I was bringing this show to America, it was because I hoped we were going to find someone like you." (HERE).
And from the series premiere, 28 year old 'garbologist' Chris Rene delivered his own composition 'Young Homie' to the judges with style and spunk. This clip (below) has since gone viral, clocking up almost two and a half million hits in less than a week.
Just the talent shared by these four artists alone makes X Factor Australia look like a poor man's karaoke competition.

IT'S RAINING BRUNO

Well it's a bit rude of Warner Music to be servicing the new Bruno Mars single right slap bang in the middle of the X Factor, but that's precisely what they've gone ahead and done.
'It Will Rain' is the first single to be lifted from the new Twilight Saga 'Breaking Dawn' soundtrack and looks set to continue Bruno's stellar run of success across the globe.
Bruno's album 'Doo-Wops And Hooligans' is quickly approaching the 200,000 sales mark in Australia, while he's sold well in excess of one million singles locally.
'It Will Rain' is due to hit digital retail tomorrow, with the 'Twilight Saga : Breaking Dawn - Part One' soundtrack dropping on Friday November 04.

ANTHONY HEADS BEHIND THE SCENES

Anthony Callea has invited his legion of fans to discover what's been going on behind the scenes of the video for his brand new single 'Oh Oh Oh Oh' - and it would appear that there's a bit of a party vibe going on. There's a bar, some good looking lads and laydees... and speaking of laydees, to accommodate for some of Anthony's erm... shortcomings... they seem to have done him a little favour.
The official video is due to premiere (hopefully) later this week, with the single released digitally on Friday October 07.

RIHANNA HITS NO.1

It hasn't taken long for her to do it, but Barbadian superstar Rihanna has hit No.1 on the Australian iTunes store with her new single 'We Found Love'.
The track is the first to be lifted from her forthcoming new album (rumoured to be titled 'Unlocked') and has been steadily climbing the iTunes chart since its release late last week.
'We Found Love' features the production talents of Calvin Harris and it's been reported that Rihanna filmed the video for the single in Ireland just yesterday.
Will she have sold enough to knock Gotye off the No.1 position on this Sunday's ARIA chart? Keep your eye on our brand new weekly Chart Watch each Sunday morning at 8am for all the details!
Rihanna's sixth studio album is set to be released in Australia on Friday November 18.

NEWS WRAP

Then, over the coming days and weeks, they'll be unlocking some of the highlights of BDOs past via a special vault.
• Sydney chanteuse Lanie Lane is doing alright for herself, with her upcoming shows in both Sydney and Melbourne selling rather well indeed. Thankfully, they're giving others the chance to hear the new tunes, so check out 'Listen To My Heart' below;

• The Fuse Records Group will release a singles and rarities collection from Melbourne outfit Eddy Current Suppression Ring next month. The album is called 'So Many Things' and contains 22 rare seven inch tracks and non-album recordings spanning the past seven years. It's due out October 21.

• Other new tunes out at media this week include the new Justice Crew track 'Sexy And You Know It', Shannon Noll's new single 'My Place In The Line', Tom Waits' track 'Back In The Crowd' and Tom Piper's Riddler Remix of Britney's latest single 'Criminal'.
• N-Dubz star Dappy has debuted at No.1 on the UK singles chart with his first official solo offering 'No Regrets'. Maroon 5 and Christina remain in the No.2 spot, while One Direction leapfrogs them down to No.3. New at No.4 is Jason Derulo's single 'It Girl', with James Morrison's latest 'I Won't Let You Go' debuting at No.5. Bad news for Girls Aloud star Nicola Roberts' solo career, however, with her latest single 'Lucky Day' just scraping into the top 40 - at No.40.
• And on the British album chart, it's all about Kasabian, whose new album 'Velociraptor' makes a big splash at No.1, while Tony Bennett's new album 'Duets II' (featuring the last recording of Amy Winehouse before she died) comes in at No.5. Christina Perri's album 'Lovestrong' gets a belated UK release and debuts at No.9.

ENRIQUE REPACKED

Say what you like about Latin heartthrob Enrique Iglesias, but you can't deny he takes a good photo.
Universal Music has confirmed that the star will release a repackaged version of his album 'Euphoria' later this year.
The 'Reloaded' edition features three new singles including his latest track 'I Like How It Feels' (pictured), along with a duet with Jennifer Lopez.
Of course, it'll also come complete with the recent hits 'Heartbeat', 'Tonight (I'm Lovin' You)' and 'Dirty Dancer', along with the global smash 'I Like It'.
The new version will be released in both standard and deluxe editions, the latter containing a DVD which is set to feature the videos to the 'Euphoria' singles, along with an on the road documentary.
'Euphoria Reloaded' will hit the shops on Friday November 11.

INCOMING : RIHANNA LP, ENRIQUE AND GAGA REPACKAGES

We're heading towards the pointy end of the year, so that traditionally means plenty of big name new releases between now and Christmas.
But there are a couple of things on Universal Music's latest release schedule, sent out moments ago, that have peaked our interest this afternoon.
The first is the confirmation of the release date for Rihanna's new (as yet untitled) album. It's been locked in for a Friday November 18 release date - perfect timing considering her new single 'We Found Love' is already performing strongly on the local iTunes chart (it's at No.2).
There's a deluxe repackaging of Enrique Iglesias' album 'Euphoria' coming (November 11) and Universal has also confirmed a limited edition version of Vanessa Amorosi's album 'V'.
But the one that's piqued our interest most of all is a repackage of Lady Gaga's album 'Born This Way'.
Though no further details are known at this stage, it's popped up on this week's schedule - slated for a November 25 release.
No doubt more details on each of these releases as they come to hand.

KELLY CLARKSON : Mr.Know It All

There's a lot to like about the new Kelly Clarkson single. Firstly, her vocals are a lot smokier than we're used to - and it gives the former American Idol star a real edge. The second is the song itself - instantly likeable and radio friendly, it's impossible not to draw comparisons with Bruno Mars' classic 'Just The Way You Are'. But that's certainly not a bad thing.
The clip features the star in front of a massive wall of newspaper clippings all covering various aspects of her life and there's another set-up where the singer is saying 'goodbye' to a partner who's obviously treating her no good.
While the clip's hardly groundbreaking, the song's certainly likeable.

THEY WILL HAVE THEIR WAY

The 'She Will Have Her Way' and 'He Will Have His Way' compilations were among some of the most celebrated in our country's history, with some of Australia's best and brightest talent coming together to celebrate the works of the brothers Finn.
The 2005 LP 'She Will Have Her Way' brought us breathtaking cover versions of classic tracks such as 'Fall At Your Feet', 'Six Months In A Leaky Boat' and 'Distant Sun', while 2010's 'He Will Have His Way' saw covers performed by the likes of Boy & Bear, Paul Dempsey and Darren Hayes.
Now comes news that there will be a collaborative release entitled 'They Will Have Their Way', to co-incide with the previously announced national tour.
The new version will be released late next month and also features four new recordings; Seeker Lover Keeper's version of 'Sinner', Hollie Smith on 'Weather With You', Lior & Emma Louise covering 'It's Only Natural' and Old Man River teaming up with Washington for 'Dirty Creature'.
'They Will Have Their Way' will be released on Friday October 28. Full tracklist in the comments section below.

JANET'S AUSSIE DEDICATIONS

Janet Jackson has this morning revealed which of her hits she'll be dedicating to which Australian cities as part of her upcoming 'Number Ones : Up Close And Personal' tour.
The tour will see the global superstar hit slightly more intimate venues to get 'up close and personal' with her dedicated fanbase and, as she's done in cities across the world, she'll be dedicating some of her biggest hits to each of the cities in which she'll perform.
For Sydney audiences, for example, she'll be dedicating the hit single 'Runaway' (the city featured briefly in the official video clip).
In Melbourne, it's the saucy 'Janet' album hit 'You Want This'.
Perth fans have the amazing 'If' dedicated to them, in Adelaide it's all about the sultry 'Anytime, Anyplace' and if you're on the Gold Coast, the 'Velvet Rope' hit 'Got 'Til It's Gone' is the track for you.
The local leg of Janet's tour kicks off at Perth's Burswood Theatre on Tuesday October 18.

CHER SWAGGERS TO RADIO

UK X Factor star Cher Lloyd has this morning officially swaggered her way to Australian media with her debut single 'Swagger Jagger'.
The track, co-penned by Lloyd and The Runners, was a mammoth hit in the UK earlier this year, when it debuted atop the British singles chart. The official video has gone on to be viewed a staggering 12 million times in just two months.
With Max Martin, TMS and RedOne on the case for her upcoming debut album (released in her homeland in November), it would appear the Cher Lloyd story is only just beginning.
'Swagger Jagger' is set for a digital release in Australia on Friday October 14.

TOM PIPER FTG. CHROME & STYLAH : Ooh Now!

Sydney DJ Tom Piper is back with a fresh new tune and an accompanying video. 'Ooh Now!' was sampled to media late last week and it features the vocal talents of Chrome (he'd be the guy who featured in Dizzee Rascal's 'Dance Wiv Me' and 'Holiday') and a rap from Stylah.
But poor Tom... Looking at the opening few frames of this clip, he's really got to start considering updating his computer system - looks like he's still operating in bloody DOS and using dial-up!
From there it all becomes rather futuristic - and the track accompanying the clip is so up to the minute, it might very well be a hit yesterday. Destined for the dancefloors, it's so hot we've worked ourselves into a sweat just listening to it.

FREE CUT COPY DJ MIX

You've got to love the boys from Cut Copy. With their North American tour officially kicking off in Ohio over the weekend, they've decided to unleash this awesome little DJ set from their good mate Knightlife.
The half hour DJ mix is filled with all sorts of tasty electro goodness, bleeps and the obligatory handclaps. It's all rather sublime, to be completely honest.
The best part about it all, however, is that the band has decided that you ought to be able to download it completely free of charge.
So off you pop... Clickin' that there little 'down' arrow on the right hand side in the Soundcloud box below.
Thanks Knightlife! And thanks Cut Copy!
The band returns home in early December for the Homebake Festival in Sydney and Meredith Music Festival in Victoria.

THE WANTED : Lightning

Yes, the boys have been on the ground in Australia recently for some promotional duties, but we're still completely surprised that UK boyband The Wanted's recent British No.1 smash 'Glad You Came' is charting here in Australia. Further to that, the single has bulleted into the ARIA top 20 this week to sit at No.20.
Over in Ol' Blighty, meanwhile, the boys are pressing on with the release of their next single 'Lightning'. Stupidly released there in five weeks time (this is the digital age, you record company MORONS!), the video for the track is out and about, so here we present it for your enjoyment;
We have a sneaking suspicion that this track will also do well for them here in Oz; up-tempo dance/pop with some nice vocals and a clip containing five handsome lads, a beach, some fireworks and smoke effects, but strangely no lightning.

LOOKBACK

STEPS : Summer Of Love

It's been more than three years since we last featured British pop quintet Steps in our Lookback segment, but with the Sky Living documentary, bringing them all together for the first time in ten years, airing in the UK this week, we deemed it the perfect time to have a look at another one of their videos.
This time around, it's the video for their year 2000 double a-side single 'Summer Of Love', where the light, fluffy, bright and happy Steps that we all knew took on the slightly more edgy, evil, darker Steps; in dress only, obviously - it's hard to imagine the group being anything but fluffy and bright.
But will good triumph over evil?? Who cares - they got a UK top five hit out of it!

CHART WATCH

Mark it in your diary - we're here each Sunday at 8am with our official wrap-up of all the comings and goings on the ARIA top 100.

SINGLES
After notching up the record for the longest run at No.1 for an Aussie artist since 1997 (Savage Garden's 'Truly Madly Deeply') last week, Gotye and Kimbra maintain their heading in the top spot this week with 'Somebody That I Used To Know'. It's now just one week shy of the Savage Garden mark - and notches up a four times platinum accreditation in the process (280,000 copies).
Maroon 5 and Christina Aguilera maintain their No.2 position for another week, while Cobra Starship moves up one place into the No.3 spot and David Guetta moves into the No.5 spot with 'Titanium' (and our own Sia, of course...).
Up into the top ten this week are Hot Chelle Rae's 'Tonight Tonight' (No.7) and Gym Class Heroes' 'Stereo Hearts' (No.9), with Adele looking likely for a top ten placing next week for 'Set Fire To The Rain' - up six spots to No.11.
Alexandra Stan's 'Mr.Saxobeat' makes the top 20 (No.19) and British boyband The Wanted score a top 20 hit on the back of their Aussie promo visit (up 16 spots to No.20).
New to the 50 are LMFAO's 'Sexy And You Know It' (No.36), Nero's 'Promises' (No.38), Dev's 'In The Dark' (No.46), Sean Paul and Alexis Jordan's 'Got 2 Luv U' (No.48) and Pete Murray's 'Free' (No.50).
Highest debut proper for the week comes courtesy of Flo Rida, whose new single 'Good Feeling' makes it into the No.53 position, with Florence & The Machine's 'Shake It Out' not far behind at No.58.
The Jezabels' 'Endless Summer' surges impressively - up 35 spots to No.62, while David Guetta and Nicki Minaj's 'Turn Me On' drops 23 spots to No.75. Four more top 100 debuts this week come from Timbaland ftg. Pitbull ('Pass At Me' at No.89), New Boyz ftg. Chris Brown ('Better With The Lights Off' at No.90), Tony Bennett & Amy Winehouse ('Body & Soul' at No.97) and Short Stack's new single 'Bang Bang Sexy' (No.98).

ALBUMS
Adele's album '21' has now been in the charts for an extraordinary 35 weeks and it continues to sell; another week on top of the ARIA albums chart sees the album clocking more than half a million sales in Australia.
There's a big debut for The Jezabels's new album 'Prisoner' at No.2, while country stars Lady Antebellum have to make do with a No.5 debut for their new album 'Own The Night'.
More debuts just outside the top ten, with Funkoars' 'The Quickening' debuting at No.11, Opeth's Heritage' in at No.12 and the Pearl Jam 'Twenty' soundtrack coming in at No.14.
Jessie J's album surges eight spots, Anthrax is in at No.35 with 'Worship Music', Bryan Adams' 'Bare Bones' comes in at No.38 and New Empire scrapes into the top 40 on debut (at No.39) with 'Symmetry'.
Outside the top 50, there's a new entry for The Drums at No.61 ('Portamento'), another one for We Came As Romans at No.72 ('Understanding What We've Grown To Be'), a re-emergence of Lady Gaga's 'The Fame Monster' at No.82 and a debut at No.83 for Superheavy's eponymously titled set.
There's a big second week drop for The Devil Wears Prada (No.44 to No.96), a new entry for Avalanche City at No.97 ('Our New Life Above The Ground') and Staind's new album 'Staind' scrapes in by the slimmest of margins - debuting at No.100.

Q&A : Natalie Bassingthwaighte

One of her contestants was the first top 12 elimination on last Wednesday's night's episode of The X Factor. But that hasn't dented Natalie Bassingthwaighte's enthusiasm any - with a new single incoming and plenty more surprises up her X Factor sleeve, we ask Natalie Bassingthwaighte about her first year on the judging panel, juggling the pressures of TV and motherhood and just when we might expect that new album.

Q : How did your inclusion on this year's X Factor judging panel come about?
I was ready to do something with TV again and this ticked all the boxes. I get to mentor these contestants and really sink my teeth into it.

Q : And your thoughts on the show so far?
It’s fun. It’s been the most fun I’ve had on any job ever. It’s very emotional as well though, I laugh and I cry.

Q : How many of the contestants could take out the competition?
I’ve got an amazing group – Mitchell and Andrew are so unique and both are definite contenders to win it. I was sad to see Cleo go, she was gorgeous and it was hard because people didn’t get to see everything she could do.

Q : How have you coped balancing this crazy X Factor ride with being a mumma to little Harper?
It’s pretty crazy. It’s been all the travelling with the baby which was hard but now we’re filming, it’s easier.

Q : On a personal note, it's been more than two years since you released your album '1000 Stars'. You've finally got something new for us...
I have a new single 'All We Have' out soon and just finished filming the video clip – I had a vision and it all came together so I’m really proud of it. I didn’t know if I would sing again but around Christmas, I realised I wanted to do it again.

Q : So an album... What can we expect, and when? Because you know you can't be an X Factor judge and not have an album to plug - it's the rules, you know.
Can’t tell you exactly when but it’s not far away – the single is out on Friday!

X Factor airs on the Seven Network Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 7:30pm.
Natalie's single 'All We Have' is released digitally this Friday (September 30).

AGNES : Don't Go Breaking My Heart

We've discovered in the last week or so that there are a couple more reasons to like Agnes' new single 'Don't Go Breaking My Heart'. One, of course, is that the video clip for the single premiered overnight, but the other is that the track has an Aussie connection via who had a hand in writing the track - that would be Melbourne pop/dance siblings NERVO.
To be completely honest, as videos go these days, it's hardly groundbreaking and is all studio-based, with Agnes sporting a couple of different hairstyles and a couple of different studio set-ups (it's all about trees, keys and arrows).
There's a bit or mirrored action to keep things interesting, but are things interesting enough for the first single from an album project? We're not sure they are.

JUSTICE CREW : Sexy And You Know It

The lads from Justice Crew have chosen a late Friday afternoon to premiere the video for their new single 'Sexy And You Know It' - and it would appear that they've run away to join the circus.
That said, it would appear that the boys have taken some of the less glamorous jobs for the time being - mostly behind the scenes kinda stuff, but one minute in, you kinda get the feeling that they're not going to take being hidden away for long and that they're going to be right there in the centre of the ring, the spotlight on, performing to all and sundry.
While there's no audience to speak of (that'd be us), there is plenty of performance in the ring - with some rather amazing slo-mo shots of the boys tumbling and flipping. Song's not bad either.

RIHANNA DROPS

Fans of Barbadian songstress Rihanna will no doubt be aware that she's been tweeting like a rabbit over the past few days, building up to the release of her brand new single with Calvin Harris entitled 'We Found Love' (pictured).
The great news for us Aussies is that we don't miss out either, with the single rushed to both radio and retail this morning.
The single is already available in our local iTunes store and is the first to be lifted from a forthcoming studio album that's apparently slated for release later this year.
More news as it comes to hand.
